But I'll still watch. I thought it was pretty good sci-fi fare, actually. They plotted it quick so they set up the major conflict in 1 ep - which I don't mind. I think the good looking people is the point - they're all v's and designed to be good looking. I think most of the humans are not shiny good looking folk. Now picture that bridge smashed into a few dozen tiny pieces and thrown up on the screen with ZERO context or even an attempt to thread the scenes together. Adaptations mostly suck I think, but the best ones don't attempt to recreate the book verbatim - they realize a visual medium is different and they need to repackage the content to work in that forum rather than the dialogue and description nature of a novel. The other movies at least tried to do that and got criticism for leaving parts out - but the movies could stand on their own without you having to have read the book. This mess even went so far as to add in new things - a huge mistake in my opinion when there was so much of Rowling's material to work with in the first place. I give it 8 out of 10 on my Gouge My Eyes Out with a Spork Scale (with 10 being scooping both of them out completely).
